The Power of Professional Real Estate Photography
Author: Jesse Grubbs
We have all heard it time and time again. First impressions matter. Of course they do, I would say in an industry where you are being trusted with very large financial and life decisions, this jumps even further up the list. Before I was a Realtor, I was a Real Estate Photographer for over a decade with thousands of homes being put to the forefront of my lens. These impressions not only matter to your seller and buyers viewing them, they are a representation of you and what you provide for future sellers who view them as well. Most are proud of the home they have built and the time, money, and life they have lived inside of it. They want others to see the value in their home as they see it as well. For this alone it is undoubtedly important to feature a home in its best light.
Professional photos boost your business!
Reputation and word of mouth are the currency of the real estate profession. People notice how previous homes were marketed and hear about your quality of service.
Professional photography for your listings matter and help brand you as one of the best:
• 72.2% of Realtors report that high-quality photography helps them win more listings.
• 83% of buyers said pictures are very important in helping them choose which homes they will visit.
•. 61.3% of brokers believe high-quality photography is important for selling homes.
• Homes with drone photos or aerial photos sell 68% faster.
One of the biggest challenges for Realtors is to grasp an KEEP a potential buyers attention. To make them want to look at the home and person and put their eyes in the place they could call home.
• Statistics by the National Association of Realtors show that 87% of home buyers on the internet find images to be among the most useful features of listing websites when looking for new homes.
•. This is why viewers spend 60% of the time checking images and only 20% read the listing description.
• Listings with professional photos earn a 1,200% increase in social media shares.
• And 68% of potential buyers say that great photos made them want to visit the home.
According to the 2022 NAR Home Buyers and Sellers study, 51% of all buyers discovered the homes they eventually purchased on the internet. This underscores the crucial importance of using professional real estate photos for your listings. Neglecting this vital aspect could potentially result in missing out on a significant portion of potential clientele, while also putting you at a disadvantage compared to your peers who are utilizing this competitive edge.
A great or expensive camera does not equal great real estate photos. Your phones, iPads, dslr cameras with all the bells and whistles, do not make great images, especially with the challenges that come with real estate photography. Hiring a professional will save you both time and money while boosting your reputation for elevating all of your listings into the greatest light. This will go a long way with your sellers and that word of mouth will travel much further when everyone views what you have done for your clients.
